We are committed to teaching the physical skills of martial arts while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student.

 

Cheoljin 'Master' Mun

Master Cheoljin Mun was born in South Korea. He grew up in a country where Taekwondo is ingrained in its culture. He has been involved with Taekwondo for over 40 years.

In Korea, taekwondo training is mandatory, similar to PE here in the US. He started training in elementary school through High school. In the later years of High School he also started training in Gumdo and joined the High School team which is famous in Korea.

After High School, he joined the military, which is also mandatory for both men and women, where he further trained in Gumdo and began training in Hapkido. After his service in the military he got his first job working for the Korean government working for the Public Prosecutors office.

For the next 15 years he worked and trained in Taekwondo and Gumdo before coming the United States. He and his family moved here and opened a small business in McKinney Texas where he has saved for his dream of opening his own martial arts school. In the meantime he has worked at several martial arts schools around the area honing his skills and deepening his understanding of English. He has also reached the level of 8th Dan (degree) in Kung fu, 5th in Taekwondo, 4th in Hapkido, and a 5th in Gumdo.

Master Mun incorporates a mix of his vast knowledge and passes it on with a great mix of discipline and caring to all of his students.

Tom 'Mr.B' Bousquet

Mr. Bousquet began his martial arts career in 1984 in Jacksonville Arkansas at a local dojang. He has been involved in WTF and Songahm Taekwondo since the age of 12. He attained his 1st Dan black belt at the age of 18.

Despite a brief military enlistment, career progression, graduate school, and moving around the US, Mr. Bousquet has always come back to taekwondo even after sitting out for long stint of several years. Mr. Bousquet attained his 3rd Dan black belt in 2012 in Songham taekwondo and got his red belt in Krav Maga.

He has helped graduate many black belts over the years and gets a great deal of satisfaction in seeing the transformation results of his students from shy, socially challenged kids into confident, strong students physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

8 years ago I began practicing yoga and quickly found it to be the missing link to the remedy of plateaus reached during my rounds in the competitive weightlifting circuit.The marriage of weight training, mindful nutrition, and yoga has proven to be the most complete set of necessary tools for not just achieving fitness but maintaining it for both the mind and body resulting in the ultimate goal; wellness.

I have been lucky be trained by Julie Hanson, a direct student of Sri Krishnamacharya (the Yogi who first brought the practice of Yoga to the West) and have an inherent focus on building a healthy foundation/understanding first and foremost.

Nearly a decade later, with instruction certificate in hand, I am excited to share my knowledge of yoga to assist all; from the enthused novice to the most accomplished athletes with the purpose of reaching a new level in YOUR overall wellness.
