After High School, he joined the military, which is also mandatory for both men and women, where he further trained in Gumdo and began training in Hapkido. After his service in the military he got his first job working for the Korean government working for the Public Prosecutors office.

He and his family moved here and opened a small business in McKinney Texas where he has saved for his dream of opening his own martial arts school. In the meantime he has worked at several martial arts schools around the area honing his skills and deepening his understanding of English. He has also reached the level of 8th Dan (degree) in Kung fu, 5th in Taekwondo, 4th in Hapkido, and a 5th in Gumdo.

Master Mun incorporates a mix of his vast knowledge and passes it on with a great mix of discipline and caring to all of his students.
